Football Kit Donation
Clapham Rovers will probably be known to most people outside of Clapham as the answer to the pub quiz question who won the FA Cup in 1880”. Up to a few years ago the team was also known indirectly from the answer to two other questions “who is the youngest person to play for England in an international and who is the youngest to have played in a Cup Final?” the answer to both is James Prinsep of Clapham Rovers in 1879.
Lloyd-Jones scored the only goal of the game.
The previous year, Clapham Rovers had also reached the final, but lost 1–0 to Old Etonians. In this match, Clapham Rovers 'James Prinsepset a record for being the youngest player in an FA Cup Final, at 17 years and 245 days, a record that held until 2004 when it was broken by Millwall's Curtis Weston.
However, for Nottingham mencap they will go down in history as the team that supported and donated the full football kit a big thank you to Matt and everyone at Clapham Rovers.
We are also teaming up with the Nottinghamshire FA who are providing training sessions and hopefully some games! More news to follow very soon.
