We provide a variety of Short Breaks Services in Nottingham City and County. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, their families and carers.
Our Sitting Service
Enable's parents and carers to have 'time out' whilst the client is fully supported.
Our Befriending Service
Our Befriending Service provides support to people with a learning disability living in a family home.
We offer a range of support based on individual needs and aspirations. This can include support with:
- Building links with friends and family in the community
- Social and leisure activities
- Making healthy lifestyle choices
- Supporting carers
When is our Befriending Service Available?
Our Befriending Service is available for just a couple of hours a week to 12 hours a day, seven days a week.
Where is Befriending Support Available?
We can provide support in the family home or in the community.
How can I access a Befriending Service?
You can access our Befriending Service by using your personal budget or another form of direct payment, by paying with private funds or funding directly from your local authority.
An advice & information service helping service users and their parent/carers through transition from child services to adult services. We provide advice and information about personal budgets, direct payments, benefits, signposting to appropriate agencies etc.
