Our services Hate Crime and Anti Bullying Training & Workshops Training We offer a range of training focused on equality and diversity, hate crime and safety for vulnerable people. Current Training 2019/20 Target audience - staff, parents and carers How to support people with learning disabilities to stay safe online We will be running a series of training workshops in 2019/20 which will advertised on Eventbrite, twitter, networks and email. The training will consist of a 2 hour training session. The aims are to increase confidence and knowledge about how to support people to stay safe online. The workshop can be delivered on site, or can be run at an external venue. Workshops are co-trained with a member of the team with a learning disability Training aims, participants will: Understand the context and positive impact of the internet on the lives of people with learning disability. Understand the challenges of using the internet for people with a learning disability. Gain an overview of the most used social media platforms and know how to report when things go wrong. Consider how best to support people with learning disabilities to use the internet safely. Target audience - People with learning disability and autism How to stay safe Develop and practice skills that help us to stay safe online and in the real world. We run both short workshops and longer courses on how to keep safe: at home, with other people, online, out and about. Education We work with education providers including Primary and Secondary Schools, Special Education and Universities. We work at the appropriate level to discuss: equality and diversity, inclusion bullying and hate crime. We are always interested in reaching out to new and emerging communities.
