Supported Living Senior Support Worker

Location: Valley Road, Sherwood

Contract Type: 12 hours per week (based on 6 week rota)

Hours of work: Shift patterns 07:30:10:30 and 14:30-21:30 21:30-7:30 (wake night) plus other 1:1 time slots where needed.

Salary: £14.63 per hour

Nottingham Mencap is looking for a compassionate, motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our Supported Living team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible, make choices about their lives and be active members of their local community.

Our Supported Living service provides support to residents with their everyday lives, including developing independent living skills, preparing food, attending to personal care, accessing the community and maintaining important relationships.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will work closely with the Supported Living Coordinator to help ensure the service runs safely, effectively and to a high standard. You will also provide support and guidance to Support Workers and help create a positive, welcoming and happy home for the people we support.

Our support is 24/7. The working pattern is on a rolling rota and includes a variety of shifts – early, lates, waking nights, weekends, bank holidays and flexible shift patterns.

We are unable to accept applications from candidates who have restricted hours, and we are unable offer sponsorships.
