‘Choice and independence, freedom to live, learn and grow’
Nottingham Mencap are working very hard to ensure that we are supporting people in our community who need our support. We have opened Harpenden House on a reduced capacity.
By following guidelines and strict cleaning regimes we are running activities at the centre, continuing to support people in the community and raising awareness of hate crime for people with learning disabilities and Autism across Nottinghamshire.

Harpenden House Update – 1st August 2019
Nottingham Mencap is planning to move from Harpenden House. It really is beyond repair and we have no security of tenure so are unable to invest in the site. You may have seen in the ‘News’, we are in negotiation with Nottingham City Council to acquire Edwards Lane Community Centre. This is within Peggy’s Park and is only a very short distance from our current home.
