How your support helps

We are a local charity first established in 1950

How to volunteer

Volunteers play an important part in the life of Nottingham Mencap

Donate to Nottingham Mencap and make a difference to the lives of people we support

Nottingham Mencap latest on Covid-19

We are doing all we can to remain connected and support our members in a person-centred way now that we have had to close Harpenden House; whether that's face-to-face, over the phone, video or social media. Please follow our Facebook page icon on top of the home page to see what we are doing and connect directly with us. Share your stories and comment on ours!

Round the World Challenge

Don't forget all the exercise you are doing at home can go towards your Round the World Challenge, I know you haven't got your passports and t-shirts yet but if you or someone writes down the exercise and how long you are doing it for down it can all be added to your passports when we receive them and go towards your goals.

Harpenden House Update – 1st August 2019

Nottingham Mencap is planning to move from Harpenden House.  It really is beyond repair and we have no security of tenure so are unable to invest in the site.  You may have seen in the ‘News’, we are in negotiation with Nottingham City Council to acquire Edwards Lane Community Centre.  This is within Peggy’s Park and is only a very short distance from our current home.
