“…I feel so proud to be able to help the management team deliver their vision.” - Trustee

Become a Trustee at Nottingham Mencap

“It is amazing to be part of an organisation which cares so much for its staff, service users and volunteers". - Trustee

Nottingham Mencap are looking for 2 Trustees to come and support the strategic development and ongoing success of the organisation.

Nottingham Mencap has a long and interesting history, but one where supporting people with a learning disability and/ or autism is at the core. It began with the passion of a few parents who wanted more for their children, where it developed into the medium sized charity you see today, supporting approximately 550 children, young people and adults, 7 days a week within our building and in the community.

We are open minded about who we are looking for and understand that a diverse board is a positive one, whether that is gender, age, ethnicity, race, sexuality, or political view.

You do not need to be a ‘high flier’ in your career, you don’t need to have a career! All you need is an interest in improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism, and be able to express your view. If you do have a learning disability or autism and would like the opportunity to apply, please do let us know if we can support you through the process.

If you are interested in becoming a Trustee with us please email Danny Hewis, CEO on dannyhewis@n-mencap.org with a covering letter detailing the reasons why you would like to apply and the skills/ experience you have for the role.

For more information, or for an informal conversation, please call us on 01159 209 524 and speak with Danny.
